Other Ways to Give

Assigned Media is a trans-led newsroom, and a project of the Alternative Newsweekly Foundation (ANF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as our fiscal sponsor and handles our finances.

You can make a tax-deductible donation to Assigned Media online using our Fundrazr page.

Larger and non-cash gifts can be made through ANF and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Here’s more on how to do that:

Donor-advised funds. You can recommend a grant to Assigned Media through ANF’s giving page: https://altnewsfoundation.org/tspy/.

Privacy and recognition

Supporting trans journalism is, for some donors, a private act. We take that seriously. You choose how you’re recognized: listed publicly on our supporters page, listed under a chosen name or as “Anonymous Friend,” or not listed at all. We will always ask before publishing your name. If full anonymity matters to you, an anonymous DAF grant is the most private way to give, since your name never enters our records.

As a nonprofit newsroom, we hold ourselves to the donor transparency standards of the nonprofit news field, which include the disclosure of major supporters and limits on anonymous revenue.

Donors never influence our coverage, and we don’t accept gifts with editorial conditions.
