J. K. Rowling Will Be a Podcast

“The Witch Trials of J. K. Rowling” promises a biased, one-sided view of the post prominent transphobe of our time.

We don’t honestly have to listen, because the title alone tells the story. “The Witch Trials of J. K. Rowling” will soon be a podcast series, hosted by Megan Phelps-Roper, and presented by anti-cancel culture grifter Bari Weiss. It’s clear just from the title that the series will present Rowling as a victim, and her anti-trans activism as righteous. After all, a “witch trial” is never fair, and the outcome can never be percieved as just.

Rowling’s victimhood is a real conundrum. Despite her immense wealth and fame, despite her continued determination to use her fame and her wealth to suppress the rights of trans people, the mere fact that trans people have succeeded in making their anger and hurt over Rowling’s repeated attacks on the trans community known will be viewed, by this podcast, as persecution. Rowling’s persecution of trans people, on the other hand, will be viewed as some reasonable concerns.

But though we don’t need to listen to hear the foregone conclusion, listen we will. Because Assigned Media was created to monitor anti-trans propaganda in the U. S. media, and “The Witch Trials of J. K. Rowling” will be as prime an example of anti-trans propaganda as ever there was. Ready yourself for the February 21 release, because we’re committed to fully exploring Rowling’s statements, providing our customary fact-checking and analysis, and refusing to let Weiss’ propaganda go unanswered by the tiny, persecuted community that Weiss seeks to portray as Rowling’s jury and judge.
