Caitlyn Jenner Dishes It, Cannot Take It

The anti-trans Republican professed surprise that the LGBTQ+ community reacted negatively when she accused a fully clothed trans woman of exposing herself.

Trans quisling Caitlyn Jenner is unhappy at the reception in the LGBTQ+ community to comments that portrayed a young, newly out trans woman (TikTok ingenue/comedian Dylan Mulvaney) as a predator for wearing shorts without tucking her genitals. (For cis readers, tucking is… no, sorry, you’re going to have to accept a link on this one.)

Mulvaney became a target of right wing fury after she asked a question of President Joe Biden in a forum-style interview by NowThis News. After having done so, her videos were intensely scrutinized by the far right, and one where Mulvaney sang a silly song about feeling awkward after her crotch was stared at in public became a focal point for right wing anger and transphobia. Caitlyn Jenner jumped in fully on the side of anti-trans hate, going as far as describing the fully-clothed Mulvaney as having exposed herself.

The charge that Mulvaney was exposing herself is truly ugly. Trans women are routinely targeted for hate and violence based on the false idea that their very existence is predatory, a smear that Jenner of all people understands is baseless, bigoted, and ignorant. Mulvaney herself is young and has been transitioning for less than a year. While she’s ammassed a significant following, it’s common sense that she deserves better from an elder like Jenner, particularly one who knows how harsh it can be for trans women in the public eye.

Jenner, however, sees herself as the victim.

It’s important to be clear that death threats, which Mulvaney has also recieved, are never appropriate. However, Jenner is disingenuous when she equates lying about a young trans woman and implying she’s a predator for wearing shorts to “difference of opinion, dialogue, and conversation.” Jenners comments about Mulvaney were despicable. It seems she wants license to defame other trans women without members of the LGBTQ+ community meeting her at that same level.
