Announcing the Trans Data Library

Assigned Media’s Trans Data Library is a repository for information on anti-trans activists, their organizations, connections, funding, and goals.

At Assigned Media, we believe the anti-trans reactionary backlash is a problem of the far right fringe, but that this extreme element has made some headway legislatively and culurally due to widespread confusion, misinformation, propaganda, and obfuscation of the anti-trans movement and its aims. If it’s a misinformation problem, the cure is better information, more accessible and available to the public. That is what Assigned Media exists to provide.

That’s why, in addition to the daily news site your visiting now, Assigned is proud to announce our Trans Data Library project, which lives at https://transdatalibrary.org/

The Trans Data Library contains searchable, interconnected entries on the individuals and organizations involved in anti-trans activism. As an Assigned project it hews carefully to journalistic values, providing accurate, unbiased information about these groups with the aim to inform rather than persuade. It is our firm belief that truthful information is the trans community’s greatest asset, and high quality sources of information on transgender issues, including the identities and connections of the bad actors stoking a moral panic that threatens our right to exist, are essential to promoting the welfare and dignity of all trans folks.
